Announcement of New Executive Directors
The ISKCON New Vrindaban Board of Directors is pleased to announce that it has selected three Executive Directors who will lead ISKCON New Vrindaban into the future. The restructuring process, which started at the joint board meeting in March 2018 has come to its fruition.
After the meetings in March, a restructuring committee was formed, which defined the three areas of responsibilities, the names of the positions, and its service descriptions: Executive Director of Temple Services, Executive Director of Guest Services, and Executive Director of Administrative and Finance Services.
The positions were then advertised worldwide and the search subcommittee reviewed 16 applications, carried out the initial interviews and proposed a shortlisted of candidates to the ISKCON New Vrindaban Board. A sub-committee of the Board of Directors interviewed these candidates and reported back to the full board including the advisors and all members of the initial interview committee. After discussing all the candidates from the final interviews, the Board of Directors selected the three Executive Directors.
We are happy to announce that the three Executive Directors are Chitranga Chaitanya Das (Temple Services), Jaya Rama Das (Guest Services), and Mahasundar Das (Administrative and Finance Services).
Mahasundar Das will arrive in mid-January and the other executive directors at the end of March to mid-April.
After eight years of managing ISKCON New Vrindaban as Temple President, Jaya Krsna Prabhu has now been appointed as a GBC regional secretary and will soon take up the oversight and support of ten ISKCON temples in the USA.
With two of the new Executive Directors arriving at the end of the first quarter and with a desire to have an orderly transition to the new team, Jaya Krsna Prabhu, at the request of the Board and Advisors, has agreed to continue in his role for an additional six months (maximum) as a Board of Director and Corporate President of New Vrindaban until the end of June 2019. As the new executive directors transition into their services, Jaya Krsna Prabhu will wind down from his duties.
We thank Jaya Krsna Prabhu for his wonderful service to Sri Sri Radha Vrindaban Chandra and Srila Prabhupada. New Vrindaban regained its reputation under his leadership through festivals, outreach programs, better relationships with its neighbors, and vast improvements to the infrastructure and temple complex. As a result, New Vrindaban is now back on the map within the Ohio Valley, ISKCON North America and worldwide, and is now a sought-after destination for many tourists, pilgrims, and devotees.
We thank the following devotees who served on the restructuring committee (R) and the search committee (S), spending a tremendous number of hours to create the foundation of ISKCON New Vrindaban’s future: Advaitacharya Das (R), Devala Das (R&S), Nityodita Das (R&S), Gopisa Das (R&S), Jaya Krsna Das (R), Gaura Bhakta Das (R), and Vrindavan Das (R&S).
