New adVentures Summer Kids’ Camp
July 18–21, 2019
As the warm weather is soon to embrace us, we are planning another special Summer Kids’ camp at New Vrindaban, the Land of Krishna. Srila Prabhupada, our founder and spiritual master, emphasized the need to nurture the devotion and spiritual creepers of our little ones—the future of the world. The Summer Camp provides loads of fun and inspirational activities that will spiritually recharge you and your children in the serene atmosphere of New Vrindaban. Learn from experts who are keen to enrich your lives with lasting memories.
Registration is open for the fourth annual Summer Kids’ camp. The Summer Camp provides loads of fun and inspirational activities that will spiritually recharge you and your children in the serene atmosphere of New Vrindaban – a special farm experience! Learn from experts who are keen to enrich your lives with lasting memories. Shalagram Dasi, the lead camp teacher, is a trained Montessori teacher and our local gurukula teacher.
For your kids, she will focus on hands-on-learning—exploring devotion (Bhakti) with artistic play and expression, from farm-style activities (emphasizing the concept of Simple Living) to archery, shelter building, animal tracking, gardening, rope making, yoga, kirtan, leadership and trust-building games, milking and brushing cows, milk-sweet preparation, and the much-loved ice-cream making—all done in a spirit of love for Krishna. We will also celebrate Ratha-yatra, the Festival of Chariots, and a Pushpa Abhisheka (flower festival) with the children.
While your children are engaged in camp fun, you can take advantage of the enlivening program designed especially for you. Expect parenting seminars, yoga, hiking, service opportunities, nutrition classes, and much more to assist you in your service of raising children in Bhakti.
In all, it promises to be a fun and enlivening experience for the whole family.
The camp begins at 5pm on Thursday, July 18, and ends at 12 noon on Sunday, July 21.
The cost per child is $108, which includes activities, materials, and prasadam.
Accommodation must be booked separately.
