An appreciation event was held on Wednesday, June 19, at the Yoga Shala to honor Jaya Krsna Prabhu, who has served New Vrindaban as temple president for the past eight years. He was presented with a plaque as a tribute to his efficient and dedicated service. Many devotees spoke of his personal care and attention, appreciating how he was always available for them. His selflessness, impeccable sadhana, and ability to bring back New Vrindaban on the map of the US and ISKCON worldwide, were also appreciated. Under his supervision and administration, many outstanding achievements, renovations, and outreach initiatives were accomplished.
In his speech, Jaya Krsna Prabhu said, “Good Vaishnavas see the good things in people, and greater Vaishnavas see the good things that are not even there. So you are all great Vaishnavas for seeing things that are not even in me. Thank you very much for believing that I could achieve great things. Thank you also for your support and encouragement; everything was possible only through your support. I always believed that New Vrindaban has unlimited potential, and we have just scratched the surface; we have so more to do for Srila Prabhupada and Krishna here. I feel that I’ve reached my potential in bringing New Vrindaban to the next level, and now we need others to bring it to higher levels. And I believe that the new directors, who bring new energy and ideas, will move things further.”
Jaya Krsna Prabhu has been appointed regional secretary for seven US temples mainly on the East Coast.
